On Bike Share uses specially designed bikes with an elegant step thru frame design and height adjustable seat, making it accessible to a wide range of riders. Our bikes feature the Shimano internal 3-speed or 8-speed gearing combined with the patented shaft drive system (no chains!) which eliminates external moving parts to dramatically reduce maintenance and repairs, and prolongs the usable life of the bike. Plus, with ourinnovative chainless bike design, all moving parts are enclosed and protected from the elements, so clothes and hands are safe from grease, grime and fast moving parts. The shifting is operated with a single twist grip shifter, making gear changes fast and easy. In fact, with our bikes, you can change gears at any time - while pedaling, coasting, or even at a complete stop. Our bikes are also equipped with puncture resistant tires for extra security, a non-removable seat post to prevent theft, as well as dual roller brakes for reliable and proven braking technology.

Integrated OnLock(TM) Delivers Unparalleled Flexibility

On Bike Share bikes are equipped with OnLock(TM), a highly secure, durable, and weather resistant lock integrated directly into the bicycle frame. The OnLock features a non-removable key that prevents users from returning a key to the Key Station unless the bike is locked. This unique design offers high levels of security, while still providing a familiar and simple solution for your system users.

Most importantly, the integrated OnLock can be used to lock the bicycle to any bike rack, so users have the flexibility to ride wherever they need to go, and park close to their destination. They do not need to lock to any specific rack. The user can then return the bike to any On Bike Share key station at their convenience. When the lock is not being used, the U-lock bar is stored neatly on the bike frame using the built-in lock holder. Our unique design even allows the ability to replace lock barrels if key are lost or stolen, to minimize downtime and maximize operational availability of the bikes.
