The On Bike Share system uses fully automated Key Stations that install into a wall in any building or foyer, making it fast and easy to create bike share locations. Our system also uses standard Bike Racks that can be placed in convenient locations near the key stations. The On Bike Share system is also unique in its ability to incorporate your existing bike fleets into the program to minimize up front cost and speed adoption. This makes deployments faster than systems needing dedicated bike stations or kiosks to store the bikes as other systems require.

Whether your goal is create a distributed bike share system (using multiple geographically dispersed key stations), or a more centralized system (with just a few core stations), the On Bike Share solution can be easily configured to fit your needs. The sophisticated software management system gives you the flexibility to design a custom bike share program.

Easiest to Use

The On Bike Share Key Stations are easy to use. Users just swipe their existing employee ID card or student ID card to open the key station. The keys are electronically secured and controlled using the backend software. When a user opens the door to the key station, the next available key lights up. The user removes that key and closes the door to the key station. The system records the user, the bike, the time and location of the key removal. The key is numbered to match a corresponding Bicycle in the nearby On Bike Share designated bike rack. They use the key to unlock the bike. The lock is integrated into the bicycle frame and the lock stores right on the bike. The bike can then be ridden anywhere and locked to any standard bike rack close to the users destination.

The On Bike Share Bicycles are simple to operate and comfortable to ride. They feature a chainless drive system that eliminates external moving parts - so no grease or messy chain to worry about soiling hands or clothes. The bikes also use either 3-speed or 8-speed gearing with simple twist grip shifting to meet the needs of your environment. These bikes also use an elegantly designed unisex step-thru frame in a universal frame size so the bikes can accommodate a very wide range of riders.

Simplified Maintenance

The On Bike Share system was made to require very little on-going maintenance and attention. The Key Stations are fully automated, and easy managed using the backend software. If the key station or backend software needs attention, we have telephone support and a nationwide network of technicians at your disposal.

With our innovative chainless Bicycles, since the gears and shaft drive are fully enclosed, they are protected from the elements as well as from crashes and vandalism. For the periodic inspections we recommend of the bike tires and brakes, we provide upfront training to give you the information and tools you need to do it yourself or with the support of a local bike shop. Our commercial grade racks are designed to not require any attention for many years.
