Converting from Movatic to On Bike Share
It's Time to Make the Switch to On Bike Share.
Download the presentation Here.
1. Simpler to Manage
The On Bike Share Admin portal is faster to navigate, easier to setup, and provides more information.
2. Easier to Use
The On Bike Share App makes it easier for your users to checkout and return bikes.
3. Switching is Free
It's free to switch and as an existing customer, there are no recurring license fees.
1. Replace the Rack top Decals
We will send you new rack top decals that will cover/replace the decals on your racks. The new decals will have updated instructions for using the On Bike Share App.
2. Test The Locks
You will use the On Bike Maintenance App to test the locks to make sure your system is working properly.
3. Notify Your Riders
Send an email to you users notifying them of the switch. We’ll provide you with a PDF with instructions for your users. Watch for pending users and promptly activate them so they can use the bikes.
Manage Your System from the dashboard
1. Pending Users
Pending Users are tenants that have registered with the OBS app to use the bike share and are waiting to be approved. The admin must accept or decline each registration. Riders cannot access the bikes until you accept them into the system. Click on the number under Pending Users. Click on a user name from the list. In the upper right, choose either Activate or Decline. Repeat this for each Pending User.
2. Low Batteries
The electronic locks on your bikes are powered by swappable, rechargeable batteries. If the battery level drops below 40%, riders cannot unlock that bike. Click on the Low Battery text to see which bikes have a low battery. Use the provided tool to unscrew the cover of the Bluetooth lock. Remove the battery and replace with a freshly charged battery. Close lid tightly and screw the lid closed. Use the charger and spare battery included with your system to keep spare batteries charged. A fully charged battery should last 3-4 months.
3. Problem Reports
Problem Reports are submitted by riders. From the dashboard, click on the number under Problem Reports. For each problem report, click on it, review the details and any photos provided. Click on the Actions button in the upper right to Close the report (indicating that you have resolved this issue) or Assign this Problem Report to another Admin on your system.
Troubleshooting With the On Bike Maintenance App
- Download the On Bike Maintenance App onto your smartphone. Login using the same email and password you use to login to the Admin portal.
- This App is available only to admins of the system. It allows you to bypass the rental process and scan the locks to identify potential issues.
