Admin Email Alerts
In the On Bike Share system, admins have the option to receive email alerts for certain events including: 1) Pending Users, 2) Problem Reports, and 3) Weekly Report.
Admins can turn these email alerts on and off through the OBS admin portal. To update your notification settings, click on Settings, then Admins. Click on your name in the admin list and click the ACTIONS button in the upper right, then click Edit.
Force End Rentals
The Force End Rental provides a way for riders to end the rental in the event of a smart lock failure, bike docking issue, or if the rider is out of range of the bikes when they end the rental.
When riders attempt to end the ride in the App and the App can’t confirm the bike is docked to the rack, they get a Can't End Ride message.
If a rider presses the Confirm button, this is captured as a Force End Rental in the Rental History screen and an alert email is sent to all admins.
If you receive this email notification, you should visually confirm that the bike was returned properly.
Pending Users And Problem Reports
If you receive email alerts for Pending Users, this indicates that rides have registered to use your bike share system and are waiting for you to activate them. You can access these Pending Users from the Dashboard or from the Users menu option.
If you receive email alerts about Problem Reports, this indicates that one of your riders has reported a problem with the bike or their rental. You can access these problem reports from the Dashboard or from the Problem Reports menu option.
Weekly Snapshot
If you select the option to receive the Weekly Report, you will receive a snapshot of your system every Monday. This helps you stay alerted to any exceptions that might need your attention and provides a link directly to your Dashboard for your bike share system. This weekly report includes information about:
- Pending Users
- Problem Reports
- Smart Locks with Low Battery
- Maintenance Issues
